Indeed, the bomb changes…each time we have to adjust and find our way. DD is a lesson in resilience.

Thank you for this beautiful piece & happy to be meeting you here!

I just saw your “other favorite books” on fb. I have the same stash 😎 will be reading Friends of Mine this month.

All the best🌸

Good one - I've learned to focus on the joy that's in the work as I ride the ups and downs.

Yes, it’s taken me a long time to reconnect to that, and I’m so glad I did. (Miss you! ❤️)

Fight or flight is an exhausting state of being for anyone, especially writers. “Let’s do what we do” makes way more sense. And a huge part of me believes that when you lean into that philosophy, that’s when doors start opening again. They’re just different doors.

YES.

Yes, yes, yes.

What I didn’t mention in this particular post is that a publisher could’ve handed me a six-figure book deal on a silver platter, but my nervous system was so shot I wouldn’t have been able to deliver a finished product.

It’s why I wasn’t able to capitalize on or sustain the momentum after ALL OF YOU.

But yay us! ❤️
